I have been struggling to find the time and motivation lately to work on projects which enhance the maturation of my own soul.
That’s a bit too deep for the intro.
Let’s start again. I have been struggling to find the time for myself. Time for writing novels, time for writing short stories, time for providing content for here. I have been taking less pictures and finding myself more and more consumed with the minutia of the comings and goings of the daily routine, and yet, have not actually structured a routine enough to truly get lost within it productively. Maybe that’s the problem. Too much freedom. Too many appointments. Too many “Oh we have plans this weekend” when I don’t want to have any fucking plans this weekend I just want to go to the coffee shop and write.
I’ve been investing in myself. Investing in the future. Investing in the stock market. Bought myself a car so I wouldn’t have to worry about my old mini cooper breaking down on me at a moments notice. Mix that forward thinking mentality with me getting lost in the 9-5 daily grind just trying to prosper and survive sort of working for the professional me and not for the true artistic me and I wonder why I am beginning to lose myself.
I am myself when I write. Time to get to work on that. Lets put some goals out into the universe:
- I will, in the next few months, find a photographer from the bay area to help me with images for the site’s daily posts.
- I will by year end work with a designer to get a logo for the site finalized.
- I will find a graphic artist to illustrate the maps I need for the Tale of Sarippus trilogy.
- I will make time, once a day, to write in some way, to keep myself from going insane.
Ah…. that’s it. I feel better already.
