Lets talk about the elephant in my boba cup. I hate paper straws.

As any true San Franciscan could tell you, Milk Tea is a nectar of the gods. Those beautifully plump tapioca pearls we so lovingly refer to as boba are much more than an add on. They are life. As my paper straw crumbles against the taught top of the plastic on my milk tea container, I wonder to myself, why have the gods forsaken me so. I slam the straw into the plastic over and over and over and over and over again until I finally smash through like the Hulk through a brick wall. Alas, my paper straw is ruined. The end of it has crumpled up into a twisted mass and, there is no way in hell my boba is making it through now.

However we must persevere through this, the darkest of times in the history of Boba, for the sake of the planet, right? Or is there something else we can do? Would metal straws work? Nope. I already am second guessing this idea. I would not want to have to carry around a straw all the damn time. The only times I use a straw are for milk tea and alcohol. Can you imagine how disgusting reused metal straws from your shady neighborhood bar would be? They would need to be clear, I guess. Perhaps glass? Going back to the bar idea, this again seems like a bad idea. Another thing that is breakable is not the way to go.

What about bamboo? Its fast growing and biodegradable. I would assume that this would be a better alternative then these shitty paper straws? Thoughts? I can’t be the only one hating this paper straw situation we are finding ourselves in.
