I am so busy that I choose to save time by using my car air vents cranked up to 85 degree heat and point them directly at my head to dry my hair in the morning.

I am so busy that I am avoiding doing the things I actually love to do because the energy it takes just to recover from work just zaps all of my energy.

I am so busy that when I’m not busy I get anxious and find something to do just to make it look like I’m still busy and that in turn leads to me finding things that can keep me busy which then actually makes me busy. It’s a vicious cycle of life.

I am so busy that I actually don’t have time to answer people’s texts in a single day/night phase. I’m not forgetting about you… but I did forget to check my phone for 6 hours because my feet are screaming from standing up for the last 15 hours and my legs are burning because I get my work outs in running up the stairwell to the third floor and back anytime I have to go see the accountants because one of my employees made a mistake.

Oh I am also busy because I am fixing those mistakes. I almost feel like if I could clone myself five times I would just go hire a team of me’s to be the office worker version of Tom Brady quarterbacking everybodies problems away.

My problems won’t go away because I am so busy paying off these fucking student loans that the American government has so thoughtfully “loaned” me to get an education because, oh you know me, going that extra mile to get a bachelors degree in something useless I’ll never use again is definitely worth it because now I’ve got a job I could of learned how to do without that high price tag on that diploma.

Oh well, I am so busy tryna stack up money regardless that my financial advisor hasn’t been able to track me down for a single phone call opportunity in like the last two weeks. The good news is that,(and he would like this I would think), I am so busy that I haven’t had time to spend any money anyway.

Making money to pay off debt to one day be free to not be so busy anymore.

The American Dream.
